It can be found in the countries and territories of Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela. The natural habitats of Kentropyx striata are savanna and inland freshwater wetlands. Kentropyx striata reproduces via oviparity, meaning it lays eggs.
