Juniperus formosana, commonly called Formosan juniper, is a conifer species that belongs to the Cupressaceae family. It grows as a shrub or tree that reaches up to 15 metres (49 feet) in height. This species occurs in China, ranging from Tibet in the west to Zhejiang in the east, and it is also found in Taiwan.
