About Jatropha integerrima Jacq.

Jatropha integerrima Jacq., commonly known as peregrina or spicy jatropha, is a species of flowering plant in the spurge family Euphorbiaceae. It is native to Cuba and Hispaniola. This plant grows as a shrub or small tree, with a swollen caudex or trunk. Its leaves are three-lobed, and the middle lobe is by far the largest of the three. This species produces separate male and female flowers. In male flowers, the ten stamens are fused into two concentric columns, where the outer column is only half as tall as the inner column.
