About Itoplectis conquisitor (Say, 1835)

Itoplectis conquisitor (Say, 1835) is a species of parasitoid wasp that belongs to the Ichneumonidae wasp family. This species is distributed across North America. On the East Coast, its range extends from Pennsylvania south through Florida. On the West Coast, its range starts at British Columbia and extends south through Central America to Ecuador. As of September 16, 2023, iNaturalist observation data records that the species has been found as far north as the Canadian province of Québec in Eastern North America, and as far north as Alaska in Western North America. Observations of Itoplectis conquisitor in Western North America are sparse and limited to regional areas. A small number of sightings of this species have also been recorded in Europe. Ecologically, Itoplectis conquisitor engages in multiparasitism.
