Istiblennius meleagris is commonly called the peacock rockskipper, and it is also known by the alternative common name the white-speckled blenny. It is a species of combtooth blenny that inhabits coral reefs in the western Pacific Ocean. Males of this species can reach a maximum total length (TL) of 15 centimeters, which equals 5.9 inches. Females can reach a maximum standard length (SL) of 10.6 centimeters, which equals 4.2 inches.
