Isognathus caricae is a moth species distinguishable from similar relatives by black vein streaks on its hindwing upperside.
Isognathus caricae Linnaeus, 1758 resembles species in the Acherontia genus and other species belonging to the Isognathus genus. It can be told apart from these similar species by the appearance of the upperside of its hindwing: the dark marginal band found on similar species is replaced by a series of black streaks that run along the veins in Isognathus caricae.
