About Ischnochiton torri Iredale & May, 1916

Ischnochiton torri, commonly called Torr's ischnochiton, is a species of chiton belonging to the genus Ischnochiton. This species inhabits areas under rocks in intertidal and shallow subtidal waters of southern Australia. It is commonly found across its wide range, and it often occurs alongside Ischnochiton cariosus. It can grow up to 40 millimetres, which is 1.6 inches, in length. The back of Ischnochiton torri has an orange rim, a covering of brown scales, and a cream-coloured stripe running along its central axis.
