Ischnochiton elongatus (Blainville, 1825) is a medium-sized chiton. It can reach a body length of 25–35 millimetres (0.98–1.38 in). Individuals of this species are long oval in shape. Their front valve has radiating, noduled ribs, while their front edge has rows of bumps. This species is found in Australia, specifically in New South Wales, South Australia, and Western Australia. It lives in intertidal and subtidal zones, underneath rocks and stones.
