Ischnochiton comptus (A.Gould, 1859) is a medium-sized polyplacophoran mollusc that belongs to the family Ischnochitonidae. Adult individuals of this species reach a size of 30 mm. It is mainly distributed across the North Pacific region, including South Korea, Taiwan, Mainland China, Japan, and is specifically found in central Honshu within Japan. This species can be found living on rocks in the intertidal and neritic zones.
