About Ionopsidium acaule (Desf.) DC. ex Rchb.

Ionopsidium acaule, called cocleária-menor in Portuguese, is a species of flowering plant in the mustard (crucifer) family Brassicaceae. This species is endemic to coastal Portugal, occurring specifically along the coast from Nazaré to Sagres. It grows in wet sandy substrates, in open clearings within juniper stands, pine forests, and other xerophytic scrub communities. It can sometimes act as a semi-ruderal species growing alongside roadsides. Less frequently, it is found growing on soils derived from calcareous or basaltic rock.
