Indolestes tenuissimus (Tillyard, 1906) is a species of damselfly in the family Lestidae, commonly known as the slender reedling. This species is found in north-eastern Australia, New Guinea, and Aru. Its natural habitats are freshwater swamps, ponds, and pools. Adult Indolestes tenuissimus are medium-sized damselflies, with a 50mm wingspan and 45mm body length. The thorax is mainly pale blue with darker patches. The dorsal surfaces of the abdomen are mid to dark grey, and are lighter in color on the underside, with the tenth abdominal segment forming a distinct pale band. The male superior anal appendages are sinuate. Within Australia, the species is distributed across suitable habitat in the north-eastern part of the continent, ranging from the tip of Cape York Peninsula to central Queensland. This taxon is listed as least concern on the IUCN Red List, and is included in the Catalogue of Life.
