About Indigofera cordifolia B.Heyne ex Roth
Indigofera cordifolia, commonly known as heart-leaf indigo, is a flowering plant species that belongs to the family Fabaceae. Its native range extends from the Cape Verde Islands, through the Sahel region, to Oman, the Indian Subcontinent, Guangdong in China, and several islands of Indonesia. It has also been introduced to the Northern Territory of Australia. This species is a glycophyte adapted to grow in sandy soils. It is classified as a weed in some contexts, but it can also improve crop yields thanks to its nitrogen-fixing ability.
