About Illosporiopsis christiansenii (B.L.Brady & D.Hawksw.) D.Hawksw.
Illosporiopsis christiansenii can be identified by its bright pink conidia, which measure approximately 0.5–1 mm across and 0.2–2 mm high. These conidia have a strong visual contrast with the lichen that this fungus parasitizes. This species is only known to reproduce asexually. It occurs across Europe and North America. It lives as a parasite of lichens, including the genera Parmelia, Physcia, and Xanthoria.
