Idia julia, commonly known as Julia's idia, is a species of litter moth in the family Erebidae. This species was first formally described by William Barnes and James Halliday McDunnough in 1918. Its distribution ranges from southern Canada, south through the United States to Georgia and Texas. The wingspan of Idia julia measures approximately 17 millimeters. Populations in the northern part of its range have one generation per year, while populations in the southern part have multiple generations each year. The larvae of this moth feed on detritus, including dead leaves.
