Idana is a monotypic genus of picture-winged flies that belongs to the family Ulidiidae. The only species in this genus is Idana marginata. Idana marginata is distributed in the United States and Canada. It is among the largest species of ulidiid flies found in eastern North America, and can grow to a length of more than 10 mm (0.39 in).
