Hypsoblennius gilberti, which is commonly called the rockpool blenny, is a species of combtooth blenny that occurs in the eastern Pacific Ocean. This species reaches a maximum total length of 17 centimetres, which equals 6.7 inches. Its specific name is given to honor American ichthyologist Charles H. Gilbert, who lived from 1859 to 1928.
