About Hypselodoris zephyra Gosliner & R.F.Johnson, 1999
Hypselodoris zephyra is a species of nudibranch first described by Gosliner & R.F.Johnson in 1999. This species has a white body covered entirely in black striated lines across its body and upper dorsum. A purple marginal line runs along the edges of its mantle and foot. Its gills and rhinophores are orange-red with white tips. Individuals of this species can reach a total length of at least 20 millimeters (0.79 inches). Hypselodoris zephyra feeds on blue sponges belonging to the genus Dysidea. It has a similar colour pattern to the species Hypselodoris nigrostriata. This nudibranch was originally described from specimens collected at Madang, Papua New Guinea, and occurs in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean.
