About Hypselodoris festiva (A.Adams, 1861)
Hypselodoris festiva is a species of nudibranch with the accepted scientific name Hypselodoris festiva (A.Adams, 1861). Hypselodoris festiva has a dark blue mantle, marked with a central longitudinal yellow line that may be broken, plus yellow spots and a yellow margin. The yellow spots can connect to form two additional lines, and large individuals develop extra yellow spots between these lines. Its rhinophores have blue shafts and red lamellae on their clubs. The gill leaves are translucent white, with one red line along the outer edge and red lines along the inner edges. This species is preyed on by the nudibranch Gymnodoris rubropapulosa. This nudibranch was first described from specimens collected at Tsushima, located in the Korea Strait, Japan. It has been recorded in Japan, Hong Kong, and Korea.
