About Hypselodoris bennetti (Angas, 1864)

Hypselodoris bennetti (Angas, 1864) has a translucent white body that may carry a blue, pink, or purple tint, with a bright yellow edge along its mantle. Red spots appear on both its underside and dorsum, running lengthwise along the center of the body and along the mantle edge; some individuals also have yellow spots. Its gills and rhinophores are white, outlined in pink or red. This species can grow to a total length of at least 50 millimeters. It has been observed feeding on sponges that belong to the genus Psammocinia. This nudibranch is distributed in southeastern Australia, ranging from Queensland to Victoria.
