About Hypoestes floribunda R.Br.
Hypoestes floribunda is a plant species that belongs to the acanthus family. Individuals of this species can grow up to one metre in height. Its distribution covers Australia and islands located to the north of Australia. This species was among the many plants first formally described by Scottish botanist Robert Brown, in his 1810 publication Prodromus Florae Novae Hollandiae. Multiple subspecies of Hypoestes floribunda are currently recognised.
