Hypochalcia ahenella is a snout moth species belonging to the genus Hypochalcia. This species was first described by Michael Denis and Ignaz Schiffermüller in 1775. It can be found across most of Europe, in Turkey, and in Texas, United States. The wingspan of Hypochalcia ahenella ranges from 23 to 32 millimeters. Adult moths are active in flight from May through the end of August. Its larvae are thought to feed on plants of the genus Helianthemum, Artemisia campestris, or both.
