About Hypochaeris taraxacoides (Meyen & Walp.) Ball

Hypochaeris robertia is a Mediterranean plant species that belongs to the tribe Cichorieae of the family Asteraceae. This species grows in the central Mediterranean region, including Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Italy, and North Africa. It occurs at elevations between 300 and 2,700 metres (980 and 8,860 feet) above sea level. Its flowering period runs from spring through autumn. Each of its flower heads measures 18–22 millimetres (0.71–0.87 inches) in diameter.
