About Hypericum gramineum G.Forst.
Grassy St. Johnswort, scientifically named Hypericum gramineum G.Forst., is a small annual or perennial herb that reaches 5–72 cm (2.0–28.3 in) in height. Its flowers measure 5–12 mm in diameter. Consumption of this plant causes photosensitization and enteritis. Hypericum gramineum is distributed across New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia, Papua-New Guinea, Vietnam, Taiwan, China (Hainan and Yunnan), India (Meghalaya and Manipur), Bhutan, and the United States (Hawaii). It can be found in every state and territory of Australia, and grows in open grassy and shrubby habitats.
