About Hypericum ascyron L.

Hypericum ascyron L. is a large perennial Hypericum species, growing to a height of 0.9–1.5 meters (3–5 feet). It produces deep green elliptical leaves that can grow up to 13 cm (5 inches) long. Its flowers have five petals, and may bear thirteen or more stamens. This species is distributed across Asia and North America. In North America, it is found primarily in the American Midwest, and also occurs in parts of New England and Quebec. It has been recorded in Russia, Mongolia, Korea, Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Canada, and the United States.
