Hyperalonia morio (Fabricius, 1775) is a large species of bee fly. It has a bluish black body, a yellow head, and dark bluish wings that contain hyaline, or transparent, areas. This species has the widest distribution of any related species in South America, and can be found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
