Hyparpax aurora, commonly known as the pink prominent, is a species of moth belonging to the family Notodontidae. It is found in eastern North America, and is classified as a species of special concern in the U.S. state of Connecticut. This species was first described by James Edward Smith in 1797. The wingspan of adult Hyparpax aurora ranges from 30 to 36 mm, and adults have distinct pink and yellow colouration. The host plants for the species' larvae belong to the genera Quercus and Viburnum.
