Hypargyria metalliferella, commonly called the silvered knothorn, is a species of snout moth belonging to the genus Hypargyria. This species was originally described by Émile Louis Ragonot in 1888. Its known distribution includes Namibia, South Africa, Australia (specifically the Northern Territory, eastern Queensland, and northern New South Wales), India, and Sri Lanka. Adults of this species have a wingspan ranging from 17 to 22 mm. The larvae feed on the leaves of Siphonodon australis from inside a loose, light web structure.
