Hymenocallis latifolia, commonly known as mangrove spider-lily or perfumed spider-lily, is a bulb-forming perennial plant. It grows in coastal habitats including beaches, sand dunes, mangrove swamps, and other wetlands. Its native range covers coasts of Florida, Mexico, and the West Indies, including locations such as Cuba, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Cayman Islands, and the Bahamas. This species produces showy white flowers, and large green seeds that can reach up to 2.5 centimeters in diameter.
