About Hylotelephium ewersii (Ledeb.) H.Ohba

Hylotelephium ewersii (Ledeb.) H.Ohba, also known by the synonym Sedum ewersii, is commonly called pink Mongolian stonecrop or pink sedum. It is a species of flowering plant belonging to the Crassulaceae family. It is native to high mountain regions of Asia, specifically the Altai Mountains, Tian Shan Mountains, and the western Himalayas. It has been introduced to other areas outside its native range, most notably Scandinavia. This is a deciduous perennial plant that grows to around 15 cm (6 in) tall. It typically grows in forests or rocky crevices in ravines, at elevations between 1,800 and 2,500 m (5,900 and 8,200 ft). It has pink flowers and succulent blue-gray leaves, and is hardy to USDA zone 2. Due to these characteristics, it is used as a ground cover plant.
