Hoya verticillata (Vahl) G.Don is a plant that grows as a root climber, and may also twine around surrounding objects. When any part of this plant is broken, it releases a white sap. Its leaves grow in opposite pairs, and each leaf has 3 or 5 veins. Its flowers are borne on racemes, but visually appear to grow in umbels.
