About Hieromantis arcuata Guan & Li, 2015

This species, Hieromantis arcuata Guan & Li, 2015, has the following wing features. On the outer side of the forewing there is a broad silvery white band. An elliptical spot sits between the basal one-fourth and two-fifths on the dorsum; this spot is made up of tufts of erect silvery grey scales with a metallic luster. On the inner side of the forewing there is a rounded black spot with a white dot at its centre. Anterior to this rounded black spot, two connected black spots lie along the middle of the fold. Together, these four spots form a large elliptical blotch that sits between the dorsal one-fifth and two-fifths. This blotch is edged with silvery white scales everywhere except on the dorsum, and the middle of the cell is yellowish brown. The hindwings are greyish brown.
