About Hibbertia subvaginata (Steud.) F.Muell.

Hibbertia subvaginata (Steud.) F.Muell. is an erect shrub, and occasionally grows as a spreading or straggling shrub. It typically reaches a height between 0.15 and 1.2 metres (5.9 inches to 3 feet 11.2 inches). Its leaves have a wedge-shaped tip and a more or less sheathing base. The plant produces yellow flowers that can be seen from July to December, and the flower stamens are arranged around three or four carpels. This species is found in the Avon Wheatbelt, Esperance Plains, Geraldton Sandplains, Jarrah Forest, Swan Coastal Plain, and Warren biogeographic regions. It grows on sand, granite, and laterite, in habitats including sandplains, sand dunes, floodplains, and outcrops.
