About Hibbertia salicifolia (DC.) F.Muell.
Hibbertia salicifolia (DC.) F.Muell. is an erect, relatively large shrub. All branchlets except the youngest are covered in loose, reddish bark. Its leaves are linear to oblong, measuring 15โ50 mm long and 2โ5 mm wide, and grow from a 1โ2 mm long petiole. The 12โ15 mm wide flowers are arranged in leaf axils and are more or less sessile. This species has five sepals that are joined at the base and 4โ6 mm long. The petals are yellow, 7โ9 mm long, and stamens are arranged all around the more or less glabrous carpels. Flowering takes place from spring through early autumn. Hibbertia salicifolia grows in coastal swamps and heath, with a distribution ranging from south-east Queensland to the Royal National Park in New South Wales.
