About Hibbertia gracilipes Benth.

Hibbertia gracilipes Benth. is a species of flowering plant in the family Dilleniaceae, and it is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia. It is an erect, multi-stemmed shrub that usually grows between 15 and 60 cm (5.9 and 23.6 inches) tall. It produces yellow flowers from March to December each year. George Bentham first formally described this species in 1863 in his publication Flora Australiensis. The specific epithet "gracilipes" translates to "thin foot", which refers to the species' peduncles. It grows on rocky hillsides and sandplains in the Avon Wheatbelt, Coolgardie, Esperance Plains, Jarrah Forest and Mallee biogeographic regions of south-western Western Australia.
