About Hibbertia fasciculata R.Br. ex DC.
Hibbertia fasciculata R.Br. ex DC. is an erect or sprawling shrub that usually reaches a maximum height of 40 cm (16 in). Its branches are hairless (glabrous), with the exception of new growth. The leaves are clustered, narrow and linear, measuring 4โ6 mm (0.16โ0.24 in) long and up to 0.5 mm (0.020 in) wide. Flowers grow singly in leaf axils, are stalkless (sessile), and have sepals 4โ6 mm (0.16โ0.24 in) long. The petals are yellow and 7โ8 mm (0.28โ0.31 in) long. Between eight and twelve stamens are arranged around three hairless carpels. Flowering takes place from September to December. This species of hibbertia grows in heath and forest habitats across Queensland, coastal regions of New South Wales, south-eastern South Australia, and Tasmania. It is widely distributed in Victoria, where it is recognized as Hibbertia fasciculata var. prostrata.
