Heuchera sanguinea Engelm., commonly known as coral bells, is a species of flowering plant in the genus Heuchera. It is a perennial herb native to the U.S. states of Arizona and New Mexico, as well as northern Mexico. Its Latin specific epithet sanguinea means blood-red, which refers to the color of its flowers. The plant's bell-shaped flowers range from deep pink to red, and are sweetly fragrant. This species attracts bees and hummingbirds, and a number of its cultivars are available commercially.
