Heuchera elegans Abrams, commonly known as urn-flowered alumroot, is a species of flowering plant in the saxifrage family. It is endemic to the San Gabriel Mountains of Southern California, where it grows on rocky slopes. This plant is a rhizomatous perennial herb with multi-lobed leaves. It produces an erect, drooping inflorescence that holds bright pink or magenta bell-shaped flowers. Though uncommon in the wild, Heuchera elegans is cultivated as an ornamental plant. It is grown for its attractive garden flowers, and is also used in wildlife gardens and natural landscaping.
