Heterorta is a monotypic moth genus in the family Noctuidae, described by Warren in 1913. This genus contains only one species: Heterorta plutonis, which was first described by Thomas Pennington Lucas in 1894. The species is endemic to Australia, with recorded occurrences in the states of Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. Citation: Herbison-Evans, Don & Crossley, Stella (29 August 2020).
