Heteroclinus whiteleggii, commonly known as Whitelegg's weedfish, is a species of clinid. It is native to reefs located around New South Wales, Australia. This species grows to a maximum total length of 10 centimetres, which equals 3.9 inches. Its specific name honors Thomas Whitelegge (1850–1927), a naturalist who was a friend of Ogilby's friend and collected the type specimen of this species, which was first described by Ogilby in 1894.
