Heteroclinus tristis, commonly known as the sharp-nose weedfish, is a species of clinid fish. It is native to the coastal waters of southern Australia, and it prefers habitats of sandy reefs with sparse vegetation. This species reaches a maximum total length of 30 centimetres, which equals 12 inches. Its diet consists primarily of other fishes, shrimp, and prawns.
