Hemiplecta humphreysiana is a species first formally described by I. Lea in 1840. The shell of this species reaches a diameter between 33 and 50 mm. The shell surface is yellowish-fulvous or brown in color, and covered in fine minute wrinkles. This species is widely distributed across the Malay Peninsula, Borneo, and Sumatra.
