It is a widespread species found in South Africa, Libya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Madagascar, Tanzania, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Australia. In Australia, specimens have been recorded in Queensland. This species has a wingspan of approximately 15 millimetres, or 0.59 inches.
