Heliconius hewitsoni Staudinger, 1875 is a butterfly species. Adults of this butterfly have black wings with two white stripes on the forewing. The undersides of the wings match the upperside in pattern, but also have small red patches located close to the body. The caterpillar of this species is yellow and green, and feeds on plants in the family Passifloraceae. Caterpillars pupate in groups inside a chrysalis that ranges from pale yellow to pale brown, and is covered with black veins and spines. Heliconius hewitsoni occurs on the Pacific Slope of western Panama and Costa Rica, where it inhabits forests, most commonly the forest canopy.
