About Helianthemum canariense (Jacq.) Pers.
Helianthemum canariense (Jacq.) Pers. is a short, densely branched shrub that reaches a maximum height of 25 cm (10 in). Its oval leaves measure 5โ10 mm (0.2โ0.4 in) long, and appear greyish because they are covered in a dense layer of short hairs. The pale yellow flowers of this species are approximately 1โ2 cm (0.4โ0.8 in) across. Helianthemum canariense is native to the Canary Islands, Western Sahara, and Morocco. Within the Canary Islands, it grows in dry areas on all islands, at altitudes up to 600 m (2,000 ft).
