About Helenium flexuosum Raf.

Helenium flexuosum Raf. is a perennial herb that can grow up to 100 cm, or 40 inches, in height. A single plant can produce 80 or more flower heads arranged in a branching pattern. Each flower head can hold up to 700 disc florets, which can be yellow or purple. Some flower heads have no ray florets at all, while others have between 8 and 13 ray florets that come in yellow, red, purple, or brown. This species grows in fields, ditches, and along streambanks.
