About Hedysarum hedysaroides (L.) Schinz & Thell.
Hedysarum hedysaroides (L.) Schinz & Thell. is a perennial plant that grows 20–60 centimetres (7.9–23.6 inches) tall. It has straight or ascending stems and imparipinnate leaves measuring 1–3 cm long. Its clusters, called inflorescences, hold 15 to 30–35 purple-violet flowers. The flowering period runs from June to August. This species is distributed across Central and Southern Europe, Finland, Russia, Ukraine, and Western North America. It grows in alpine meadows at elevations between 1,600–2,500 metres (5,200–8,200 ft) above sea level.
