About Hecatera cappa Hübner

Hecatera cappa (Hübner) is a species of moth that belongs to the family Noctuidae. Its known distribution includes Morocco, Algeria, central and south-eastern Europe, Turkey, Transcaucasia, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Iran, and central Asia. In Israel, adult moths are active between April and May, with one generation emerging each year. In central Europe, adults are active at the beginning and end of summer, with two generations per year. The larvae of this moth feed on the flowers and seeds of plant species in the genera Scrophularia and Delphinium.
