Harpyia milhauseri, commonly known as the tawny prominent, is a moth species belonging to the family Notodontidae. This species was first formally described by Johan Christian Fabricius in 1775. It is primarily distributed across central Europe. This moth has a wingspan measuring 50 to 60 mm. Depending on its location, the adult moth is active on the wing from May to June each year. Its larvae feed on plants from the genera Quercus and Fagus, and occasionally feed on Betula.
