Scientific name: Harpalus smaragdinus (Duftschmid, 1812)

This species has a broad head at the ocelli. Its mandibles are pointed, and have a small swelling at their base. It shares a similar appearance to Harpalus affinis, but its nasale between the teeth is gradually rounded, and is smaller than the nasale of Harpalus serripes.
