About Haploembia solieri (Rambur, 1842)

Haploembia solieri, commonly called the bicolored webspinner, is a species of webspinner that belongs to the family Oligotomidae. This species occurs in Europe, Northern Asia (excluding China), and North America. In contrast to the related species Haploembia tarsalis, which reproduces asexually, H. solieri reproduces sexually. Adult H. solieri individuals have an orange and black coloration, and reach a length of approximately 11 millimeters.
